hi! I am kristin
And if you're the kind of woman this work is for, you probably already know within the first thirty seconds of meeting someone whether you can be yourself around them. So let me save you some scrolling: I'm curious to a fault, I say the true thing before I've decided if it's appropriate, and I'm comfortable hanging out in the deep end of conversation and enjoy a good laugh. Bold and vulnerable and a little bit unserious, often in the same breath. That's not a personality I perform for this work — it's just who shows up.
I found somatic work as a client, not a practitioner. I'd tried so many things to figure myself out — mostly talking, endlessly, brilliantly, about exactly what was wrong. None of it touched the thing that was actually there. I was looking for someone to help me access what I already knew was underneath, and a somatic practitioner was the first person who helped me realize I wasn't actually feeling anything — I was narrating around it, skillfully, and calling that feeling. She taught me how to access what I'd been suppressing, slowly enough that it didn't overwhelm me. That process is the reason this work exists at all. I needed it before I knew how to offer it.
How I Got HereI don't call myself a coach. Coaches build plans, goals, futures. That's not what I do. I help women live in the present — in the body they actually have, in the life they're actually in right now, not the optimized version five steps from now. If you're looking for a five-year plan, I'm not your person. If you're looking to actually be here, I might be.
A Distinction That Matters To MeI'm a feminist. I'm anti-patriarchy and anti-racism, not as a brand position but as a lens I actually see through. I support the queer community, fully and without asterisks. None of that is separate from the work I do — my approach is intersectional, which for me means an ongoing commitment to listening, unlearning my own bias, and decolonizing both myself and this work. I don't believe in love and light, and I'm not interested in positive thinking as a substitute for the slower, more honest work of actually changing. I'm comfortable in the dark. I'll go there with you.
What I Actually ThinkA Thing That Might Make Sense of Some of ThisI'm AuDHD. My mind isn't linear — it's more like an ecosystem, dozens of thoughts running at once, separate but connected, and I feel all of them at a speed that's honestly a lot to carry sometimes. I talk fast sometimes because if I don't get the thought out, I'll lose it. I might interrupt for the same reason — not because I think what I'm saying matters more, but because I'm genuinely afraid the thread will disappear before I can hand it to you. I'm telling you this because if you're wired anything like me, I want you to know you don't have to perform linear or polished here. I never have.
what working with me is actually like
Expect directness. Expect me to name what I'm noticing, even when it's inconvenient. Expect playfulness in the middle of hard things, because I don't think seriousness and lightness cancel each other out — I think they usually show up together, in real conversations, and I'm not going to flatten that out of ours. Expect me to be as honest and as present as I'm asking you to be. I'm not a therapist, and this isn't therapy — it's something else, built specifically for women who've outgrown what therapy and self-help alone could offer them.
Nature keeps me in actual awe — it regulates me in a way almost nothing else does, and it is just so fucking beautiful that I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I love traveling and learning how people in a place actually live, not just what there is to see. And I have an unapologetic love for reality TV — specifically the dating and marriage shows, which I watch less for entertainment and more because they're basically a study in sociocultural anthropology.
